HisChildForever
For my sister and I, salicylic acid is straight from Satan. It makes our faces so dry. This makes it very difficult to find acne cleansers, because 99% of them use salicylic acid. Salicylic acid in face cleanser is pretty useless anyway...the chemical isn't on your skin long enough to actually work.
PhuturePriest
Salicylic acid in face cleanser is pretty useless anyway...the chemical isn't on your skin long enough to actually work. I know nothing about it other than it dries out my face. I am also of the opinion that anything with acid as an ingredient should not be near my skin. :P
Nihil Obstat
What do you mean it was a rather long lunch break? My break is from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and then I have to go to music/band class. 30 minutes is not long... The syntax of your post seemed to imply that you had been on lunch break from your first post until then. :)

OnlySunshine
Used to have terrible acne...Nothing worked well for me...Except Pro Active...That stuff had my complexion looking dope.... Ugh, that stuff was awful on my skin. That's how I discovered I was allergic to salicyclic acid and benzoyl peroxide. I broke out in a rash all over my face and then it started peeling like a sunburn. My skin was SO DRY! No matter how much moisturizer I would use, it would still look terrible. :(
beatitude
As a teenager I had mild acne on my shoulders and upper back. I found that the best cure for it was getting it in the sunshine. :) That always reduced the spots quickly. This may not be a practical option for you in February, though - I was lucky enough to be in a desert at the time...
cartermia
My skin is always very clear in the summer time, but I have very pale skin and I burn very easily. I want it to be summer time.

Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
THIS FOLLOWING POST IS RATED M or P.G. 15+. I have an acne problem, it isn't the worst i have seen but still there, especially on my back. I think mine has to do with not being happy with myself and sin. You know the old church used to akin serious skin irritations with partial possessions. But all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, so no pun intended. Partial possessions need not an exorcist though so don't panic, it needs perhaps us not allowing the devil or someone else to crucify us, Jesus already done that. :) and/or in the psychology field also don't crucify yourself, for anything! But than this is me projecting perhaps, i think i am partially possessed in the sense of the side effects of sin, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. P.s. all this of course without belittling the seriousness of sin and it's ability to reduce true charity to self and others in word, thought and deed. Cherie
There have been some great suggestions. If acne is a recurring problem, though, you might want to see a dermatologist. I had some acne when I was in high school and finally at age 18 saw a dermatologist for it. He recommended a regimen of Cetaphil soap, Cetaphil lotion, and Lokara brand (desonide generic) prescription lotion. The Lokara was a miracle. It cleared up my acne in TWO DAYS. Gone. Zilch. Nothing. Clear skin. In two days! I'm not even exaggerating. I stayed on it for probably WAAAAAY longer than you're supposed to be on it (i.e. I kept it up for years), but it worked so incredibly well that I was afraid to go off it. But when I finally did stop using it, I was old enough that acne wasn't an issue for me anymore. So if anyone wants to ask their dermatologist about Lokara lotion, do. It worked for me, anyway. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
II didn't really get ackers till later on in life. They seem to go almost none at all except for practically invisible white heads, than they go bad, and then there are times when it is neither good nor bad, the just ok. I have struggled with pimples on again off again for about 4 or so years now. I think it started with a couple of boil type monsters i popped and than suddenly i had pimples everywhere. Perhaps they where some kind of contagious boils or something. :( i don't know. They say Pro-Active works really well.
