Anastasia13
Do karaoke at least once. Write that book, at least to somewhere between page 65 and 80. Get those interns and volunteers. Learn to read the newspaper on a regular basis. Finally learn the Armenian alphabet.
Anastasia13
Resolutions: From the word "resolute", an adjective meaning admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering. Most Americans fail their "resolutions" by February, and only %1 of Americans actually keeps their resolutions. This is why we need to change the name, lest the definition of "resolute" be changed to "something you want to do and try out but then quit." You have to want to succeed like you want to breath, then you will succeed.
AnneLine
Last year I saw a video in which the speaker made a distinction that I think REALLY has helped me, and I share it with you. There is a difference between a 'daily' habit and a 'regular' habit. A lot of people get stuck on resolutions, and commitments to do something they want to get done by REQUIRING themselves to do it 'daily' or 'weekly' or 'monthly'. The first time they don't do it, they get discouraged... and after a few discouragements they give up. (And the evil ones giggle and claim their bonus points). HOWEVER... if one commits to doing things on a regular basis - 'Most days I will do ____' or 'A few times a week I will do ____' or some similar thing.... one is more likely to see progress and get close(r) to one's goals. So.... I will regularly pray the liturgy of the hours.... or Most days I will stick to my eating program are resolutions more likely to be kept! THIS seems to work better for me... but i have great respect for those who can set firm goals and keep to them... but I am too weak, and God knows my heart and that I try to do things for love of Him and others. Pray for me as I do for you!

TheresaThoma
So I don't have a specific resolution but I'm going to try something I have seen floating around the internet. Basically throughout the year you write down good things that happened on slips of paper and put them in a jar (or box) and then at the end of the year you take them out and read them.
