AnneLine
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES!!!! Double Pages are offered for Designated 'Challenge Books' - you can do as many of these as you wish, one at a time -- this can be combined with any other offers! TRIPLE Pages are offered for ANY of the Young Adult ("YA") books listed on the Phatmass Reading Club Voting List. You can read as many of these as you wish, one at a time -- and it CAN be combined with any other offers! A NEW CHALLENGE! We seem to work well if we have a GOAL! The feast of St. Agnes is on January 21st. Agnes was one of the most important martyrs of the early Christian World, and her symbol has always been a lamb. We are going to help her make a special place for her lambs by reading 80,000 pages by her feast day! Because we need to increase wool page production, TRIPLE PAGE CREDIT is offered for books by or about Lambs, Sheep, Martyrs, Virgins, or having to do with Sewing, Embroidery, Fabrics or other Crafts... or by or about people named Agnes. :hehe2: This should let people find a lot of interesting reading!!!!! And you can get creative! Here are some I have around the house I could use for credit: The Lamb Council Cook Book! :eat:  Lamb's Tales From Shakespeare! (available to download on-line!) :gameboy: Embroidery for Home and Synagogue! :blowkiss: Baa Baa Black Sheep by Gregory Patrick Boyington :lame: Diary of a Hunted Priest (stories of British Martyrs) by Fr. Gerard, SJ :crazyshoot: Let us know why you believe your book qualifies when you tell us you will be or have read it!!! TRIPLE PAGES - now is that not a deal???? Chrysophylax
Wahaha That sounds great AnneLine! I'll have to see what I can find! Today I read: A Tangle of Knots by Lisa Graff 233 pgs and Empire of Bones by N. D. Wilson 438 pgs I liked the first one a lot, it was very sweet. I LOVED the second one! AAH! It was so good! I love N. D. Wilson's books! Everytime I read one for the first time I have to stay up until I finish it, they are just too good! And then I feel all jittery and super excited for a long time after I finish reading!! Literally my hands are still shaking! It might take me a while to fall asleep! I can't wait to read the next one! :woot: I'm still working on the challenge book. I would name another challenge book, but I think you are supposed to do them one at a time! I better get working! AnneLine
Glad you like my challenge idea for St. Agnes!!!! One Challenge book at a time -- but you can indicate this is 'probably going to be one' or sub it out if you really want to --- but hey, won't pope Francis be proud if you finish your current one on his Patron? (But I know what you mean, that book is a tough read, and I just don't know why!) Happy reading! :bible:  :bible:  :bible: Edited January 10, 2014 by AnneLine

AnneLine
Cool.... Carter, you are thinking. Now all you have to do is find some YA books by an Agnes, a Lamb, or anything else, put it on the list of possible books, and read it this month and... wow, you can get 6x credit! :) And I know you got the HUGE credit for Brede, but it didn't make the last cut-off time. It WILL be in for the next tally!
