Not The Philosopher

1. Jesus never said, "let the government take your money and redistribute it evenly."
2. Santa uses his own funds/resources to give gifts to people and to provide employment.

I'll let someone else take care of the rest.

True but there is more to what Jesus said or did not say, our salvation hinges on Jesus' action of full sacrafice. In Acts the apostle seemed to live in a bit of a socialistic manner. Shareing all with all in the community of believers.

Santa Claus is a hijacked Sinterklaas... who is St. Nicholas.

Christian Charity.... based out of the gospels.

Socialism isn't necessarily atheistic... it can be Christian as well.

Occupy Wall Street, in this connotation, is a RED HERRING.  No relation at all....

Voluntary communalism such as was practised by the apostles and in hundreds and thousands of religious communities is very distinct from state sanctioned robbery and theft.  The life of such holy persons is only virtuous because they have of their own will surrendered their natural right to possess private property in an act of oblation to God Almighty.

Catholics already possess their own tradition of economic philosophy.  Heinrich Pesch, Hilaire Belloc, Popes Leo XIII and Pius XI.  We should look to them.

The Grinch doesn't actually “redistribute" the gifts, he makes restitution.

Jesus says give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and give to God what belongs to God. I don't think this is something that a socialist would say.
