They say listening to classical music can help improve one's cognitive abilities.

What effect does listening to One Direction have?

Well let's see...

*plays a One Direction "song"*

*brain mo·men·tar·i·ly flat lines.*

Music aside, anyone have thoughts about this?

What sport was this coach?  Wrestling maybe?  Weight is relevant in wrestling.   Outside of that, I can't see another coach mentioning weight unless they either want him to gain weight or else if he is really out of shape.

Notre Dame, I thought the same thing... and asked the same question.

To my astonishment, my friend said it was a FOOTBALL coach.  I said, you mean they want him to GAIN weight.  NO, she said, we don't get it either... they are telling him he is TOO heavy....

Brother.

I'll be seeing her tomorrow and see if I can find out anything more.  But good grief!

I agree with you, but I'm not sure if the media focuses on the grey hairs of Kate Middleton because it affects the way she does her job (I mean, really, does the Royal Family even have a job other than go to formal occasions?). I think it does it because it's like "Ooh! Kate Middleton is getting old and letting herself go!".

Yes but think of the current politicians.  Michelle Bachman, Sara Palin have said nutty things but they are mocked and berated to the nth degree.  Ron Paul sais things and no one cares.  Chris Christie gets elected!

Even the liberal slanted media couldn't get away from generiously pointing out Hiliary for looking haggard and tired, but leave John Kerry (who abandoned his cancer sickend wife) alone.

They also straight up mocked the new CEO of Yahoo and questioned her competance becuase she recently had a baby.

I don't think this is a problem with body image, rather sports getting on younger and younger kids to be perfect (which womens' sports had done for decades).

It also has a litigious nature as now all children must be in within a certain weight limit to play with eachother after a case where a large boy accidently killed a smaller one (this was in ohio or some place several years ago, the boys were in 3rd or 4th grade) and several cases of large boys causing injuries to smaller ones.  It also has to do with the disgusting practice of holding children back a grade (or several grades) in order to give them this size difference.
