MIKolbe
I spent a week, many years ago, as an AR/credit check clerk for the company at which I was employed. It was a small company, and we all wore many 'hats'. I figured I could be a jerk and tell people, "no, we are not processing your order. you owe us $137.32! It's at120 days, too!! So, no...Your order will stay right here until I get yo money, phoo!". Not so much. :( I hated it. All the sob stories, misplaced anger directed at me, and just negative energy, man... I hated it. but hey, good luck! :)

AnneLine
When I worked for the state employment service, I found a job order that had been put in by another office. It began: WANTED: Mean People. The Meaner the Better. For Collections. I showed it to my supervisor, who made me close the work order. But there is something to be said for the honesty of the posting.... People who do collections work (even a little) have to have the ability to be a bit mean and take a lot of meanness thrown back at them. If you are an "F" on the MyersBriggs, you will NOT like collections work.....
