PhuturePriest
NCYC was overall great. The emcee and presenters (Except for Matt Maher) were questionable with their theology and advocated an overall message of "feelings are more important than theology", but that was fine, because I got into amesome conversations with two seminarians (One of them being a good friend) about how wrong and sad it was. NCYC was also great because the CYO group I went with is in a different diocese, but I go there because of Emily and Kate. The people in it (Particularly the youth leaders, a wonderful married couple who are really amazing) are all very welcoming and amazing, and they all accepted me as part of their group, Renee (One of said youth leaders) going so far as to say "We claim him as our own." when someone asked why I was with a different diocese, which ended up with me getting super emotional and crying for three hours about it when I thanked her and her husband later, and I still get emotional whenever I think about it. Their CYO group is totally turning me really openly emotional. If I become a seminarian, I'll probably be a seminarian in that diocese, though. Anyway. These are some of the pictures I did there. I met Dust (Who graciously did this first picture), and he's kind of alright, I guess. I was too blinded by the light reflecting from his head to really get to stick around with him and get to know him, but he did tell my friends I'm a super cool guy, so I guess that earns him brownie points. From left to right: My two best friends, Kate and Emily, two girls that aren't really friends with any of us but stuck around us during the trip, and of course, my glorious face and radiant hair. Kate, me, and Emily waiting outside Lucas Oil Field Stadium in the freezing rain. Me and the good seminarian friend I mentioned earlier. I unfortunately forgot to warn him about the flash, so he was kind of blinded. We'll have a good laugh about it after he gets his Lasik eye surgery done, though. PhuturePriest
you look happy. :) That's because I was! :) Part of what made me so emotional was when I thought about how the next day was the last day I would be with all the wonderful people in my group, but I'll see them again soon enough at the next CYO meeting! PhuturePriest
Youre such a good looking boy FP Thanks! Though I feel pictures always make my chin larger than it actually is. It probably doesn't help that I always forget to show my teeth when I smile. :P When you're talking to me, though, I always show my teeth when I smile and laugh, which I do both pretty much constantly throughout the day. Eh, I've always been kind of self-conscious about my teeth. When I get braces soon I'll definitely start smiling widely, though.
PhuturePriest
I forgot to mention that the speakers who weren't involved in the presentations by the NCYC crew were very solid. Jason Evert and Chris Stefanick definitely stole the show with their talks, but was it even a question if they would or not?

PhuturePriest
Jason Evert is pretty cool! He spoke at my high school once! That was almost a decade ago... I've always been a Jason Evert groupie, so even though I had seen his talk before (Love Or Lust?) a billion times, I wanted to watch it, and sure enough, it was the best talk other than Chris Stefanick's. He also changed a lot of it because he knew a lot of us had already heard the talk before. I own one of Chris Stefanick's book (Moral Relativism), but I'd never actually seen him speak before. He was so awesome, and I was amazed at how good his talk was. He definitely balanced out the people dancing and acting out to readings from the Bible and some of the most annoying, awful songs I have ever heard in my life.
