I think it's cool that Bush makes it a point to visit the pope. This is his third visit. Man, I would love to be a fly on the wall in that room when those private meetings take place.

It's interesting to note the comment from a representative that the Pope and President's conversation would be more focused 'on a forward looking' perspective for the future of Iraq instead of the decision to go to war.

The argument about wether to go to war or not in the first place is debatable. Now that the US has revoved Sadaam from power, we have assumed responsibility for the welfare of the Iraqi people and the consequences of the decision to go to wether. Even if the decision to go to war was wrong and it was an un-just war in the Pope's opinion, we cannot just leave and make a bad decsion even worse by abandoning the Iraqi people to a fate worse than Sadaam's reign.
