Anastasia13
I want to try something like this: http://aimeeshealthyliving.wordpress.com/2010/05/05/how-to-make-the-perfect-cuppa-cinnamon-ginger-tea/ But I need a way to strain cinnamon and ginger powder from the water. Thanks.
Basilisa Marie
You don't have a tea strainer? Or any strainers in your kitchen? Fine. Clean pantyhose.
AnneLine
I have an idea for you LandT (My computer is being difficult and won't do the ampersand...) I was going to suggest a coffee filter, but if all you have is finely powdered ginger and cinnamon, it will probably just get stuck. And I would suspect the mesh in a strainer might be too wide, and you'd end up with sludge. But what MIGHT work is using the strainer (or a paper towel) and then run it a second time through the coffee filter.... or slip a bit of folded paper towel under the surface of your brewed coffee to skim/lift off the floating spices (kind of the way one skims fat off a soup. Don't know if either of those will help....
Eowyn
Coffee filter lining a mesh strainer might work.

Gabriela
Cheesecloth also works. Though you're surely more likely to have a coffee fil.ter lying around. They sell little cheesecloth sachets that you can fill with spices and simply drop into a pot of boiling water. If you plan on making this often, that might be most convenient.
