exploring
God will forgive anything except believing one cannot be forgiven so long as there is repentence.
Ummm...The only unforgivable sin is believing you can't be forgiven. What?!?! That's not true. Ignorance is not a sin. God sends people to hell. That is a fact. There are things that God will not forgive. If that we're not the case, then there would be no sin or evil. If God doesn't care then what the heck. I might as well become an adult movie star and kill people for fun. God's going to forgive me, so why not? I might beat my wife and molest my children. God forgives, so why not? Do you see the fault in this thinking? Too many people are trapped in the thinking that God forgives all. Sooner or later you're going to do something that is unforgivable and find yourself in hell. Satan exists, hell exists, evil exists, God does not forgive everyone of everything. Whether or not Kanye ends up there or I end up there or you end up there is no my point. My point is the possibility exists for all of us to end up there. We just have to watch our ways! gopherball33
I see no fault in my thinking. I'm pretty sure the Church backs me. Also, God sends people to hell who do not ask for forgiveness for their grave sins. God is willing to forgive everyone as he loves us so much. And yes, the only unforgivable sin is that you don'y believe that God can forgive you.
exploring
Ignorance is not a sin. You cannot be held accountable for ignorance. See the Catechism 1735 "Imputability and responsibility for an action can be diminished or EVEN NULLIFIED by ingnorance..." The Church seems to agree with me or more appropriately I agree with the Church. God is willing to forgive everyone, I agree, but don't forget your own point. God won't forgive you unless you apologize and repent. And that is not believing God won't forgive you, as you say, that is outright defiance to The Lord God. stef22
I give credit to Kanye, you have to think about his upbringing, does he think its alright to swear, probably not... but he probably grew up with and its very difficult to get out of your system. I believe that Kanye West did a great thing by making that song, although its off compared to many other Christian Rappers, he does not label himself as a Christian Rapper as said before. But considering his upbringing, and the fact that he still wants to make money. I think he's alright, he really did a number by making a song called "Jesus Walks", some people won't even listen to it because of that. I already heard lots of people bashing him. He's got heart. gopherball33
God is willing to forgive everyone, I agree, but don't forget your own point.
When I say the only unforgivable sin is not believing God will forgive you, I mean the person has fallen so deep into despair that they don't think God could forgive them, especially if they have rather bad sins. I do not mean that they are defiant. Also, I don't believe that I said that ignorance is a sin. Edited August 10, 2004 by gopherball33
