r2Dtoo
Yes, who doesn't want Wars of Religion and burning heretics at the stake?

AnneLine
Hey, Sister, St Thomas may find a happier welcome in Transmundane Lane... or possibly Vocation Station.... Not sure whether the rest of us are quite up to spending time with him on open mic..... sad tho that truth may be.... :(
mortify ii
Yes, who doesn't want Wars of Religion and burning heretics at the stake? Atheism has a far worse track record in a much smaller period of time.

brandelynmarie
Can we ever worship God too much? Can we ever love Him too much? :) No, say I, never!
AnneLine
Strangely enough, got into a discussion of this many years ago with a Carmelite friar, long since gone to his reward. I insisted that I wanted to 'try' to love God as He desired to be loved. Priest insisted I was trying too much, too high, give up, you can't do it. I personally think God gets excited that we WANT to try to love Him at an impossible level.... and I have an Advent Reading that backs me up... and will dig it up over the next few days if there is interest!!!! Dominican Nuns Menlo Park
Yes, who doesn't want Wars of Religion and burning heretics at the stake? To this, I answer that: …human beings, paralyzed by sin, need God’s mercy which Christ came to give to them so that, their hearts healed, their whole life might flourish anew…Only God’s love can renew the human heart and only if he heals the heart of paralyzed humanity can it get up and walk. The love of God is the true force that renews the world. (Benedict XVI) Do hate sin…but not the sinner because we are all sinners and are in need of God’s mercy and love. Praise God!!! We can never praise God enough for his mercy and love!

Praise God for the gift of your faith and love of Him! Praise Him for the witness of your life. Yes, would love to hear what you have to share... God who created us has no need of our praise but our holy desire pleases him greatly. I really like this... It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God. For we know it belongs to your boundless glory, that you came to the aid of mortal beings with your divinity and even fashioned for us a remedy out of mortality itself, that the cause of our downfall might become the means of our salvation, through Christ our Lord. Through him the host of Angels adore your majesty and rejoices in your presence for ever. May our voices, we pray, join with theirs in one chorus of exultant praise, as we acclaim: Holy, Holy...
