Ave Maria!

Hello, friends.

I've been reading VS for a long time now, and I finally decided to join. Try to bear with me as I learn my way around here. It may take some time. :hehe:

Jesu cum Maria sit nobis in via.

Hello & :welcome: I wish I could answer your question, but I mainly use my semismart phone, which doesn't give me a format for posting pics....I'm sure someone will be around soon to help though! :) Please feel free to share about yourself while you're waiting...

You know, perhaps I ought to have told more about myself in the original post. :D

Well, here goes:

I'm discerning a religious vocation and holding my breath as I wait until I'm old enough to visit the Benedictines of Mary. I would be delighted to meet more of you who are interested in them. I'm pretty positive about the Benedictines of Mary, but I'm waiting for God give me the go-ahead, or tell me I'm wrong. :)

Jesu cum Maria sit nobis in via.

Welcome!

You post pictures by:

1) In the bar at the top of the posting box, there is an icon that looks like a picture:

DemoforPM_zps55c4f4e9.png

2) Click on it, and paste the URL of the picture you want to post.

3) If you need a URL:

a) Find the picture on the internet.

b) Right-click on the picture, and select "Copy Image URL".

c) Press [control]+v to paste the URL in the box, or some other method that I don't know about.

That does mean that you will need to post pictures online if they're on your computer. There are a fair number of sites that do that, though, so it shouldn't be too hard.

ETA: Oh, and I have Windows and am using Google Chrome. I don't know if the process in step 3 is different on other operating systems/browsers. (And ETA means "edited to add".)

nooooooooooooo

this is hotlinking. It is bad news. it "steals" other's bandwidth. Some proprietors retaliate by changing the source url to a pornographic image ; then all the hotlinked photos turn up as porn. Do not hotlink!

here are slightly modified directions:

a. find the picture on the internet

b. right click and "save image as" to your desktop

c. logon to your account on photobucket and upload the saved picture from your desktop

d. click on the image in your photobucket library to bring up the "direct link" option, copy that

e. open the little picture icon on phatmass (CT circled it) and enter the direct link from photobucket.

This avoids hotlinking, stealing bandwidth and accidental porno.

Quick question: How do you post pictures?

Welcome! :welcome:  I'm pretty new myself and found the easiest way is to right-click the picture, copy image then paste it. :)  I'm very happy to hear you're attentive to the whispering of the Lord...will be praying for you as you continue your discernment.  Deo Gratias!
