Now i just tried to post babies heads that are usually also round. Iz there a secret to posting photos ?

You post pictures by:

1) In the bar at the top of the posting box, there is an icon that looks like a picture:

DemoforPM_zps55c4f4e9.png

2) Click on it, and paste the URL of the picture you want to post.

3) If you need a URL:

a) Find the picture on the internet.

b) Right-click on the picture, and select "Copy Image URL".

c) Press [control]+v to paste the URL in the box, or some other method that I don't know about.

That does mean that you will need to post pictures online first if they're on your computer. There are a fair number of sites that do that, though, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Oh, and I have Windows and am using Google Chrome. I don't know if the process in step 3 is different on other operating systems/browsers.

I posted this on VS too, and Lilllabettt replied with this (sorry I can't just quote, I'm on my phone, but I'm not putting in anything of my own after this intro):

nooooooooooooo

this is hotlinking. It is bad news. it "steals" other's bandwidth. Some proprietors retaliate by changing the source url to a pornographic image ; then all the hotlinked photos turn up as porn. Do not hotlink!
here are slightly modified directions:
a. find the picture on the internet
b. right click and "save image as" to your desktop
c. logon to your account on photobucket and upload the saved picture from your desktop
d. click on the image in your photobucket library to bring up the "direct link" option, copy that
e. open the little picture icon on phatmass (CT circled it) and enter the direct link from photobucket.

This avoids hotlinking, stealing bandwidth and accidental porno.

There are no Biblical names with the letter f in them, I believe I discovered.

Anciet Hebrew apparently used the "f" sound, although it isn't usually transliterated with a written "f." It's usually written as "ph" in names such as Raphael and Naphthali. Philip starts with the "f"-sound written as "ph."

I haven't studied Hebrew, but it's entirely possible that the "f" sound was never used at the beginning of a word, (or at the end, or within other phonetic constraints). The word "pharaoh" does show up in the Old Testament, but it could be that the Hebrews borrowed that f-initial word from Egyptian. Philip could also be a borrowed name, for all I know - by the time of Jesus, Greek culture (and, of course, language is part of culture) had been influencing the Middle East for a few centuries at least.

Good call - interesting question!

Then give up and try something else. Like what Lilllabettt said about downloading it and then putting it on Photobucket or something and then posting. Or just give up on that picture and find a new one.

I am not a totally savvy artwork pasting into internet person myself, but I have learned the hard way what that comment means.   Some of the pictures will work on the forum, and some will not.

The ones that are marked '.png' will not work--and you get the message 'you cannot use that image extension in this community' .   If you have a way of converting it to a jpg, you can make it work.

The ones that are marked '.jpg' will work - and they will paste in properly and you can use them as avatars, too.

Looks like you found that helpful, Tab!   Glad to make your life easier.  I kinda wish they would post that someplace, because it isn't all that clear to people like me who aren't as tech-savvy... but has made my life easier to figure it out!!!!
