[Spem in alium]

The bishop of my diocese retired two days ago. Due to the shortage of priests and bishops here, we probably won't have a new installment for over a year. Some dioceses have been without a bishop for a long time, so we are well back in the queue. 

 

The assistant priest of my parish is also leaving to return to his diocese in Vietnam. Because of the shortage, we probably won't be able to get a replacement for a while. Our administrating priest is adjusting his schedule to make it as fluid a change as possible, but as he already celebrates three Masses a day it's likely some of the daily Masses will need to be cancelled.
 

Hopefully the transition will be as easy as possible. Please pray for all of us, especially for the outgoing bishop.
