Fr. Antony Maria OSB
I've never had a smart phone, nor a full keyboard, so I can't really comment. I just wanted to say that I used to text really fast with only the number pad for texting. Oh, those were the days. Now I have a corded phone without caller id, lol. Yay! arfink
I have a Galaxy SII for work and I really like it. The SIII and S4 are also very very good. The Moto X and Nexus series phones are also fabulous smartphones. I wouldn't mess with Apple products as they're far too expensive IMO. If you want a data plan that you can afford, go with Republic or with TMobile. Once you add up the extras, TMobile is about the same as Republic, with the added benefit that TMobile will allow you to unlock or root the phone and use tethering and portable hotspot features on your hardware. But Republic forbids using your phone as a hotspot in their terms of service, which IMO vastly reduces the utility of a smartphone.

TheresaThoma
I'm leaning towards the galaxy S III. I'm going to go to a store tomorrow and just play around with the different phones for a bit and see which ones I like. For me the phone just have to feel right, it can have all the wonderful features in the world but if it doesn't feel right in my hand then no go.
