Tea V Coffee - Caffeine Content

I used to drink black decaf coffee, switching over at 3pm (I love my coffee!).  Lately I have taken to black Twinnings Lemon Scented Tea which I really enjoy after 3pm.  Is the caffeine content in black Twinnings Lemon Scented Tea lower than normal black coffee?  If it is, is it by a big margin?  How would it compare with the caffeine content in decaf coffee - I have been told that decaf is not caffeine free?

Thank you :)  - all replies much appreciated.  Should this thread be in Lame Board?

Depending on what type of tea you have, I believe tea typically has about half the amount of caffeine as coffee.

If you have the box it should say what the caffeine content is.

Of the teas black does have the most caffeine, which in theory is roughly equal to coffee but I think most coffee companies these days use beans with a crazy amount of caffeine making that no longer really true.

Thank you both. :)

I have looked on the box of the Twinnings Lemon Scented tea, but no caffeine content is stated.  I seem to get to sleep and sleep through the night the same way as decaf coffee, so I will anticipate that the caffeine content with Twinnings is not all that bad unless my sleep becomes problematic as it was with full strength coffee at night.  Google shows that Twinings do have an Australian website, so I'll email them.

Thank you both for your comments.
