crusader1234
I remember it, but it wasnt that big of a shock. The biggest shock was when at a birthday party, someone ordered McNuggets for the first time. I was like whattttt

homeschoolmom
I was never allowed to get happy meals as a child... <sigh> so I never "didn't get 'em"... They weren't the shameless Disney plugs that they are now, though, so it's not that big of a deal. I remember when mcnuggets first came out... summer '83. My friend and I would walk up there and get 'em. Yummy... ... in high school I worked at McDonald's (the same one) and stuff came in styrofoam then... and the uniforms were polyester... ick... I took my kids to McD's just today... they each got a happy meal.

Ash Wednesday
I can't stand McDonald's now, but I remember getting the Happy Meals that had containers that looked like spaceships. It was in the early 80s. That was da bomb. Their fries and milkshakes are still good though.

[/quote] Thanks Brother Adam, by the Grace of God, my daughter was starting nursery school on 9/11 and I was working from home. Unfortunately, my company lost 300 people that day and many of them were my friends.
