the most catholic comic book character is Nightcrawler from x-men.  He almost became a catholic priest in the comics and his catholic faith is really shown a lot in comics and actually in a positive light.  Far and away, the catholic faith through Nightcrawler is shown as a very positive thing.  Also his conversations with Wolverine(who is an atheist/agnostic) about his faith and God is shown in a very positive light.  Its all very suprising considering how much Marvel is on a push to have more and more gay characters in comic books that they depict Nightcrawler and his faith in such a positive light.

 

Daredevil is also a catholic and his faith I think has also been brought into comics.

Daredevil is a catholic.  He regularly goes to confession.
