Everyone suffers. I wasn't trying to draw attention to myself or anything - quite the opposite. I'm sorry. Yes, I'm SO glad she's home.

that wasn't what I meant.... :bag:

Be careful with the drugs that they put you on.  I've known a few people who've had to go through rehab to get off of prescription pain killers.  And I had some bad experiences about 6 months ago when I was in the hospital after a broken leg -- I hallucinated a bit (I would wake up and look at the clock and it would take me about 4 to 6 hours to figure out where I was and what was going on..)  And I continued to hallucinate at night after going home -- until I took Valium.  And I only took Valium for a week because I did not want to get hooked on it.

About a month ago I had another "flashback" at night and it took me almost until the morning to come out of it.  This is very different than sleeping and very different than being half asleep half awake.  When I was in the hospital I would get cranky because they were spending more time with the other patient in my room than me -- however there was no other patient in the room.  I was in a private room..

Be careful dealing with crocodiles. Their bite is worse than their bark.  They do not bark.

Actually they do "bark".  But I feel a little sorry for the poor little caged crocodile in the video.  However I did not feel terribly sorry for the crocodiles that I saw in Costa Rica -- they grow to be truly huge monsters.

Hey we are all stressed these days!  I thought it was pretty funny, but sometimes it's only funny to the people who aren't on the scene!

And.. SoCalGuy is right - you want to be aware of the potential for getting dependent on drugs and/or weird side effects.

BUT

There is a time and a place for proper pain management.  So let your med professionals know if you are having any weird effects, and don't use more than you need any longer than you need.  A little discomfort is one thing... but you also need to be as pain-free as you can so your body will heal properly.  If you try to 'stick it out' without the pain meds your body will be tense and won't heal as well.  Or so it was explained to me!

This is one of the worse jokes I've ever heard.

yeah my point was that sick people are "brave" regardless of whether they feel they are,  because at least they don't act like Mr. Kunkel. did not fly for whatever reason. whatevs!

Right then and there, faced with the prospect of a life-threatening disease, the 34-year-old Florissant, MO, husband and father of three drew a deep breath and made a firm resolution to himself: I am not going to fight this. I am a dead man.

Sorry, was not in the mood for jokes like that this week. Lol

You get a break until January 1st. :) :) :)

Like Anne said, not that you were under ANY kind of stress at all.  None whatsoever.
