crusader1234
Hey I found some stuff but its ridiculously expensive. I figure I would be better off just asking some kindergarten class for the chicks since they end up gving them to farms anyways.

homeschoolmom
[quote name='crusader1234' date='Jun 3 2004, 10:14 PM'] Hey I found some stuff but its ridiculously expensive. You're right, they usually just give 'em away anyway... Sorry the supply store was so expensive.
Colleen
I always wanted a pet duck. We used to live by a creek, and there were lots of ducks that lived near it. One time, there was a mother duck and a bunch of ducklings swimming in the creek, and one of the ducklings fell behind. He was having trouble swimming against the current. So my dad and I got a butterfly net and scooped him up and brought him over to where his mommy was. I wanted to keep it, but he said no. He's so anti-pet. We took a picture of it. I'll see if I can find it.

homeschoolmom
The college I went to has a river running through the campus.... there is a really nice wooded area there with a huge rocky area jutting out into the river... Anyway, my friends and I were out there in April one year... and there was this white duck sitting there, shivering. Well, we tried to coax it over to us and it came over and let me scoop her up. So, I'm sitting there with this little duck on my lap when it suddenly starts to crawl under my jacket!!! It crawled completely inside my jacket (sitting on my back inside the jacket). It stuck its head right out the caller right next to my face. It YAWNED and went to sleep! Inside my jacket with me in it!! We figured it was probably someone's unwanted pet duckling from Easter that they had just decided to discard it ... It ended up at the humane society (I lived in the dorms). My boyfrined (the current HS_Dad) took a bunch of pix with camera... oh how I wish I could scan them here... they are so cute... Oh well... Use your imagination: Imagine homeschoolmom with a gray jacket on with the head of a little white duck peeking out the top... so sweet... Goodbye, Lois the Duck!!
