Golden Years
Our very amesome pastor informed us that from All Soul's Day (this past Saturday) until November 8, we can obtain a plenary indulgence by visiting a cemetery and praying for the dead (anyone, not necessarily buried in that cemetery), under the "usual conditions", Communion, confession, resolve to have no attachment to even venial sins, and pray for the Pope. Such a great opportunity to help the souls in Purgatory! Edited November 4, 2013 by Golden Years
Nihil Obstat
If I am not mistaken, this particular plenary indulgence can only be applied to a soul in purgatory, as opposed to most other indulgences which can be, but need not be. I find that to be a very poignant reminder of the Church's concern for the Church Suffering. :) Edited November 4, 2013 by Nihil Obstat
