Eowyn
I'm doing it. This is my 4th year. 1st year = 40 words. 2nd year =100 words. 3rd year = 500 words. I might bat a thousand this year. Book will be finished in the year 2175 - good thing it is historical fiction.
TheresaThoma
I have done it in the past but there is no way that I could do it this year. I'm crazy busy and fresh out of ideas. Let me know how it goes for you though!
BG45
Might try again, but don't expect to finish given the hopeful Proposal Defense and other stuff. But it's worth a shot!

Basilisa Marie
So does anyone have plot ideas yet? I think I'm going to write a collection of short stories about people in a town where weird stuff happens. Yes, heavily influenced by Night Vale. But I think it'd be a good set up, because as long as I maintain continuity I can literally add whatever strange plot points I want and if I get bored I can write about a new character. I'm trying to get better at editing after I write, instead of during. :)
AccountDeleted
I've already started writing. I can't post until November 1st of course, but I needed to get a start or I knew I would get too stressed on the day. Some things I have found helpful are: Making writing buddies (one already gave me a suggestion for my plot line that helped it enormously) Reading some of the forums. There is a Catholic forum as well but some of my favorites are the buddy ones and reading through some of the resources. One person suggested not deleting anything that you write, but highlighting any changes you want to make in another color so you can go back at the end and make changes. That way you don't lose word count as you go along. This should be fun. :) Oh yeah, I also enjoy reading the synopses of everyone. PhuturePriest
this is hell 1142 Hahahaha. I'm writing a novel that currently has 27,269 words. I pity those who attempt to exceed that by two times in one simple month. Also, I don't agree with making yourself write something. Write when creativity hits you. You can't force creativity out of you, and it'll just end up a bad story (Though I'm not sure if that matters in this contest).
