MCLewis
So, I need some advice and opinions guys. What do y'all think of Eminem? I'm a big fan of the guy and I know a lot of his lyrics are really immoral. Its not mortally sinful to listen to it is it? I started listening to him more because of MMLPII coming out the 5th. Should I let people know that I listen to him? Should i hide that? Should i avoid buying his stuff? I mean he's still just another sinner like me...And Catholic hip-hop has its roots in regular hip-hop so theres got to be some sort of influence on other Catholic eMCees. You see I just feel like he's basically the best rapper and so if I want to be a Catholic eMCee I want to sound like a Catholic version of him. Does that sound impossible? Could you even take the Slim Shady persona, make it good and still be listenable? And another thing, how can Catholic emcees be funny with out hurtful? I've heaed a couple of ya'lls lyrics that make me laugh but they seem rare. That's one thing that attracted me to Eminem. Humor. Can Catholics do it. Post funny lyrics below if you think of any. Also, what do you guys think of saying words like "stupid" or "crap" in Catholic Rap? How about this written by me: I just want to be | good before I'm gone. Yeah I want to be | the next Scott Hahn Maybe someday I'll go to Notre Dame Thanks to Mom I aint a Doubtin Tom You see growing up I denied the truth So some would say I was a normal youth I lied to myself not knowing id died n' Wouldn't arrive at the Heaven ticket booth But now its done I'm through Im hating this sin like you do too I hate it cause its Satan's poo So don't eat the crap that he feeds you Oh did I say crap in a Catholic rap My bad forget that I take it back It just shows I aint a perfect Matt Cause the perfect Matt would have Christ's back
