Is It A Mortal Sin

L&T, Solemnities are the highest level of celebrations in the current Roman calendar, and they are celebrated like Sundays.  that means that there is a 'first' vespers/evening prayer the night before, a Vigil Mass late in the evening of the preceding day can take the place of attending Mass on the Solemnity itself, and doing penitential practices is NOT done.    (edit!)

It's the same logic as is in effect for the Secular Order to which I belong.  We have an additional 7 days of fast and abstinence throughout the year, on the day before Solemnities and Feasts that are relevant to my Order.  But... the legislation includes the clause that this should NEVER include fasting, abstaining or doing other penances on a Sunday.  So same idea!   As St. Teresa of Jesus once pointed out, there is a time and a place for penance and a time and a place for partridge.

TODAY we 'solemnity' on Partridge!!!!!

Josh, you're the reason I built phatmass. Keep fighting the battle dude. Next time I'm in Vegas I'm hitting you up.

Everyone else, don't worry. There is still chopped heart, lungs, kidneys, not just liver.

There was of course no sin in eating meat yesterday, or not eating meat for that matter, but listening to Eminem, at any time, is a grave and infinite offense against Me.

I need a new outlet, and I know some stuff's so hard to swallow
But I just can't sit back and wallow
In my own sorrow
But I know one fact I'll be one tough act to follow
One tough act to follow
I'll be one tough act to follow
Here today, gone tomorrow
But you'd have to walk a thousand miles

In my shoes, just to see
What it's like, to be me

And maybe then

I'll give up my Eminem

Due to the fact that I am indeed everywhere, I can most assure you, my child that I know exactly what it is like to be you.  And while yes, your life is indeed quite lame with or without Eminem, it would be less lame if you removed him from your life.

The Eminem lifestyle choice is right up there with manbags.  It is simply immoral in all circumstances and this shall not be questioned.

"The broccoli cheddar is your salvation.  Flee the bean."

Centuries after My ascension into the heavens, My theologians shall write tomes on the meaning of these words.  Consider yourselves fortunate to have read them first.

How lame of you...

Hellfire and brimstone come to those who question.

I'm an ex-Protestant. I only believe in rational things like libertarianism, the imperative use of historical context, Dracula, chocolate.
