Guest Horrible Sinner
Ok, I have a question! Ever since I started committing a mortal sin, masturbation, I've never came straight out to the priest saying it. Because, I feel embarassed. Now I don't want the lingo with there a sinner, it's my personal preference. I talked to a priest that said once, I'm glad you confess a sin the way you feel comfortable. I usually confess it as a lustful sin I fall into. It is my hope however, I will never have to confess this sin again in Confession. Hoping at least! So basically I just want to know if it is wrong to confess it like this. Now, as you've heard the phrase, you can't teach an old dog new tricks, that will most likely be the case with me. But like I said, this will be the LAST time I will have to disguise this sin, since I will never, committ it again! Because, I'm turning my life around for the greater honor and Glory of God! Thanks for the answer God Bless PM Horrible Sinner
Pio Nono
JMJ 6/6 - Tenth Sunday Horrible Sinner, When one confesses sins, the really important part is that the priest is understanding what you're talking about. If he doesn't understand, he'll stop you and ask you to explain. If he hasn't done that, then you're in the clear. It's kinda like this - I can call a spade a spade, but I can also call a spade a "black object on playing cards that is not a club". Either way, I'm describing a spade, but the one is easier to understand than the other. Also, don't forget that conversion is a long process for a reason. If a tree grew from a seedling to a mighty oak overnight, it would be uprooted by the next storm that rolled through. No, we're called to send our roots deep into the soil to find the Lord, and that often takes time. Be patient with others and with yourself. Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
