Aya Sophia
Blue Cross has notified me that the plan I chose (back when I was living in a free country) will end Dec 31st and, if I take no action, I will be automatically enrolled in a new plan compliant with the Afforadable Healthcare Act. My monthly premium will go from $214 to $533.47. So, the question is, AFFORDABLE FOR WHOM? Certainly not moi.

BG45
I suppose I'm fortunate then, my insurance raised my rates 30%.
Aya Sophia
Have you looked into the subsidies? I've researched them online (found a handy calculator at http://kff.org/interactive/subsidy-calculator/ to confirm one's qualification) but it seems the only way actually to apply for the subsidy is via the "Marketplace" at the currently unuseable website. Or, anyone know of another way?
