I'm not sure about the others either, but definitely more open about them than about horse meat. And beef tongue is wonderful, as are sweet breads (they're some gland in cattle, and taste wonderful the way my mom makes them).
maximillion
I have eaten some weird things, hedgehog, frogs legs, (yuk) snails, (double yuk) horse meat, it tastes like beef but a little sweeter. I like Haggis and ate quite a bit when I was in Scotland, but the recipes do vary greatly. Kangaroo is not like any meat, more like Shark Steak, if you have had that. Can't stand oysters either. I love globe artichokes, even though it is quite a ritual to eat them, and we don't really have them here in the UK. I am forever importing them from France as a treat. I love French Gateaux au Ris too, another thing we don't have here, and I can never make it just right........ Smoked Salmon I will eat any time any where. Smoked mussels are pretty good too. I got a taste for them when I worked at a mussel farm in the Isle of Mull. Smoked Pullet de Bresse is out of this world. Well not smoked is pretty darned good too. Some of our regional sausages are SO good here in the UK. Cumberland, Linconshire....yum.

maximillion
Leprechaun's are REALLY hard to hunt, so good luck with that one. :hehe2:
ChristinaTherese
But it isn't that hard to get your hands on Cerberus.
Ancilla Domini
This isn't quite as exotic as the foods I posted before, but I would like to try cotton-candy. I've never had it before.
maximillion
WHAT????? That is a surprise. It's more of an experience than a taste. I wanted really good chocolate ice cream this afternoon. I bought some but I still want it because the high end one I bought was naff.
maximillion
Now I want chocolate cake. I might make some sugar free cake and frost it with this cool chocolate I learned how to make out of coconut oil, agave nectar and cocoa.
TheresaThoma
After dinner I would like to eat either a cake in a mug or the yummy dessert one of my housemates made (except I think it is for her school and not for the house  )
maximillion
Seared Duck.........
TheresaThoma
Some good sour dough biscuits. Looks like it is time to buy some flour and make my own starter. I miss sourdough pancakes and biscuits. The pancakes with blueberries in them and the biscuits served hot or cold with butter and honey..... YUM :eat:
maximillion
Okay, so I made this vegan superfoods healthy cake out of dates, nuts, bananas, agave nectar, cocoa, coconut oil etc. I thought it would taste super healthy and I would be able to control myself as a result. (Sigh) How wrong can a person be, and how can something so healthy taste so darned good! Portion control is an issue here.
ChristinaTherese
The souffle that I'm making for dinner. (I'm not promising that it'll work right. I suspect I shouldn't have mixed everything together with the electric mixer, but I already had it out because of the egg whites....)
maximillion
How did the souffle work out? I want a croissant. But I've given up wheat and am restricting carbs, so.......
ChristinaTherese
Since I don't know how it was technically supposed to work out, I'm not promising that I did it right. But I like it well enough, whatever the case.
