4588686
That's a fancy word for fundraising. People like me cultivate high level donors and strategize how to fund organizations and campaigns. I've been in politics for a little bit but sometimes I think I'd rather take what I've learned and doing smaller local stuff that helps more people directly. But I've barely been out of school for a year now so what do I know. #hasanthoughts
4588686
I'll develop phatmass. We'll do a high level taco dinner. For a gift of merely 25k you could become a phatmass national partner. We prefer that money to go to our 501(c)4 so we can lobby for phatmassistic aims but, if you must, you could donate to our 501(c)3 which is tax deductible. 4588686
Obviously out national partners get to attend our VIP pre-event reception. Out host committee members will attend, which includes a number of prominent elected representatives. This is an excellent opportunity to make connections that could later prove useful to attaining phatmass' legislative priorities.

Anastasia13
sometimes when i read Hasan's posts, I think his avatar is looking over my shoulder very disapprovingly. #lilredthoughts Sometimes when I read comments like this, I look back at the avatar and have an urge to straighten the scarf, tighter, tighter, tighter... Then I remember it is Hasan's and something inside me starts triangulating pizza locations instead. BG45
Dude, where was your GOP equivalent when I was semi-drafted into working on a doomed-from-the-start US Senate campaign? I was the "token Catholic", "token dissenting voice", "token Democrat", and quite often it seemed "token person with a brain". My candidate always had trouble with fundraising...but it didn't help he'd not let me put his schedule for speaking on his website because, "I have enemies". Edit: And when we had Bush and Cheney visit once each, it only helped cement his base who was already voting straight party ticket anyhow.

Nihil Obstat
I should wear a bathrobe to work. Uncultured swine. I would expect no less of a democrat. :|
