A Matter Of Public Record. Most Warned People On Phatmass.

  for you good sir.  :)

I ended up here because I followed the woman I was dating at the time, converted, and hope to one day meet someone too (though not necessarily on PM, only if the Holy Spirit wanted to guide that way).  Funny how Phatmass can be used to change and convert hearts, even if most of the discussion is something like ponies and tacos.  If memory serves, wasn't at least one of our more...*searches for a good word* sheltered members even aghast at your username because they thought you were mocking Christ?

Lol yeah, Rexi and a few others thought I was profaning jesus with my username. They were lighting the pitchforks and sharpening the torches and i was getting skeered.

But we're glad you survived the fire, even if some might have thought you were a witch for doing so. :)

I'm shocked. I didn't know Winnie could get warned.

And Hasan, oh what a world it would be without him. Stay cool, Hasan.

this is a really fun thread.... and I'm seeing layers I never saw before.

I just remember being really baffled at one point when I was teased that I might be banned for posting one of these....

Sometimes I think he should be my patron or avatar....

Such a cute picture.

You get warned for being a jerk.  Among other things.

I suspect that is part of what happened to Mortify. :saint2:

If I may say, though I know I don't really carry weight here, when I asked about my user group early this year or so and it seemed like some people just brushed off or belittled my question, Knight of Christ and Nihil Obstat were excellent examples of what Catholics should be like, what I think Christ would be like. If being a jerk really does get someone warned, then I think being awesome* should count for something too. The church needs people like that, and Phatmass doesn't seem to be too bad off with them either. Kay, just my $0.02. Boss is going to do what boss is going to do.

*We recognize that we are in a constant battle of good vs evil, and ask for the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary and all the Saints in Heaven for a removal of pride and an increase in humility, with our ultimate goal being sainthood.

That looks kind of snarky without the context of having recently seen this as well.

Haven't seen mortify in a while...

Budge is a "she", I believe...

It doesn't matter. This is the internet, where men are men, women are men, and the children are FBI agents.

Huh. This is a good idea, actually. If people can get warned for being jerks, they should also be able to get something for being exceptionally Christlike. Although that would make more work for the mods. Maybe it could be something like "props" that people could use to "nominate" or "elect" the person for, and then the mods could review it when a certain number of people had "nominated"/"elected"?

I remember getting suspended, and a message from Cmom, just ripping me apart for posting some kind of sick horror porn picture(for those internet aware, a pretty common shock link).

I was thoroughly confused, until i figured out what it was. I had hyper linked a picture of the Hindenburg with a manatee photoshopped onto it. And i guess the original owner of the website the picture came from figured out it had been hyperlinked in a bunch of places, and changed the link to go to a pretty nasty picture as a joke.

Even winchester had quoted the pic before it was changed, but his post wasnt deleted when mine was, so my poor eyes got to see what had been swapped in, and after i finished bleaching out my eyes, got it all figured out.

Lot of weird little history over the years on this forum :)

oh found the original pic i had posted.

I still have nightmares from the picture....

Oh my gosh, ppl, what was in this picture?! It's not that Asian one in the bathtub, is it? That one was pretty disturbing. I still wish I'd never looked...

Damned curiosity.

No. Some things cannot be un-seen. You just don't wanna go there.

No.

When are you going to accept the moderator position I offered you?

I think the safest representation of what picture everyone is talking about is this picture of a delicious donut:
