CrossCuT
Someone said this was about access to healthcare. I was never turned down for healthcare when I didn't have insurance. Of course I did get nicer treatment when I had gold card Bar Association insurance. No one is ever turned down for care, but you get billed. If you cant pay it then it goes into our taxes and we pay for it. Edited October 12, 2013 by CrossCuT

havok579257
You certainly are free with other people's money. to be fair all tax money is other people's money. Unless you advocate no taxes at all an no government help for those who can not help themselves(children/elderly/handicapped to the point of bed ridden). Unless you do advocate for no help at all from the government, your statement is just rhetoric.
havok579257
30 million people are still going to be uninsured, and the working poor will be financially worse off due to the cost of the plans and the tax penalties for those who cannot afford the insurance. Truly sad. Just wondering do you support single payer system? If not what other idea do you have to cover all these uninsured. It seems to be a pretty big deal for you, so what would be your idea to cover everyone. I don't support obamacare but I am curious if this is just rhetoric or you really support some plan so every single person is insured.

havok579257
Sounds good to me so what about those who have no ability to help themselves? Children, elderly, handicapped to the point of bedridden?
God the Father
so what about those who have no ability to help themselves? Children, elderly, handicapped to the point of bedridden? You seem willing to help, maybe you could give them your number?
havok579257
You seem willing to help, maybe you could give them your number? so I take it your not religious at all and possibly don't mind when children or those incapable of taking care of themselves die. Is this correct about you?
God the Father
so I take it your not religious at all and possibly don't mind when children or those incapable of taking care of themselves die. Is this correct about you? Uh, I wouldn't say it's correct about me, and something tells me you don't mind a whole heck of a lot either. 21,000 children around the world died of starvation today*, how many tears did you shed? *http://www.globalissues.org/article/715/today-21000-children-died-around-the-world

All you care about it yourself? You don't care about helping your fellow man? You don't care about others in general?

I took care of my elderly mother through the time of her illness with emphysema and lung cancer, what have you done for the elderly? I got no assistance from the government during that period, even when it meant sacrificing my own economic future. But I did what I did because I loved my mother. She was not a number to me, which is how government bureaucracy treats people (young and old alike). Edited October 12, 2013 by Apotheoun

It is already illegal in every state in the union for a hospital to turn a person who needs treatment away. All that Obamacare does it create a new federal bureaucracy to control health care. It gives the government power to say what can and cannot be covered in insurance policies, and then forces everyone - regardless of ability - to buy one of its insanely structured health plans. If you think health care is going to cost less with the federal government controlling it you are in for a shock. BG45
The scripted ending to this kabuki play Essentially. It's all been theater and grandstanding.

4588686
It's just a term to differentiate between the 'old guard' Republicans and the new guard. Or the Rockefeller type vs the Libertarian type. I know what the term is supposed to mean. It just doesn't have any substance to it.
