A follow up, since I can't reply. My question, however, was basically this: We can have married priests, but can we have married bishops? Would it ever be possible to have a married pope? (It would probably be awful to be the wife of the pope, but is it possible?)

In keeping with long tradition in both East and West, a married priest is not eligible to be ordained a bishop so cannot be Bishop of Rome hence the Pope.
