arfink
They are very cool pics. Some day I think it would be fun to visit urban ruins and draw them, but I am terrified of heights, so this might be a problem for me.

AnneLine
Oh... I have a place & a couple of videos for you!!!!! San Francisco's Sutro Baths! Currently a ruin... but oh my..... and ARFink... take a look at Adolph Sutro! And I remember going there after it was turned into an ice skating rink... (and opening the doors and gaping at the ruins of the other baths!)(in the days before that turned on a fire alarm!) Here is a great movie clip from after it was converted (film clip is from 1957) ... . and the kids & Daughters of Charity are from Mt. St Joseph home which is also no longer in existence.... but I remember going through the museum and the giant staircase.... yup! I remember the day it burned... we were living about 40 blocks away, and giant pieces of burnt 'stuff' dropped all over our garden for weeks.... binder-paper sized. It was astonishing!
Nihil Obstat
Urbex is the coolest. Unfortunately my city is pretty lame for that. Almost nothing abandoned.
EmilyAnn
A friend of mine from university made a short documentary about urban exploring. I always thought it was pretty cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrkbmj5HPQA
