Preparing For Loss

Please pray for my family as we prepare for the loss of my Mom-Mom. It's been a whirlwind few weeks, and I think it will be a little while longer yet, but not too long. We are starting to feel like zombies.

 

After 10 years of illness, my only prayer is that she gets to go in peace and without a struggle. I got to sit with her yesterday and for now she seems very comfortable. She was awake long enough to know I was there and for me to show her lots of love. That was such a precious gift for us both. We are very close.

 

Our main concern right now is my aunt's impending trip to Africa. She is leaving in the middle of this month and will be away for 3 weeks. We are praying she is able to be there with us. As hard as it is, life and death are unpredictable and we can't postpone our lives because something might happen.
