Magdalena
I have been involved in a debate with some Catholic and Christian friends about whether or not Muslims actually believe in and worship the God of Abraham and Jesus as they claim. My personal opinion is that they do not. But, there are others who believe that they do, even though they reject almost all of the revealed truth of the Judeo/Christian God. My point here is that one cannot claim to believe in something if one rejects 99.9% of what they say they believe. I would be very interested in some input on this topic. CatherineM
Perhaps it might be helpful to look at it from God's perspective. Do you think that he hears prayers that are directed towards Allah? Even if we think that they don't pray for the same things we do because we believe in different things, that doesn't mean that God doesn't listen. If they are praying, and our God is listening, then are we praying to the same God? There are lots of Christians who think Catholics don't pray to the same God they do. I think we do.
