Kursk Root Icon Is Visiting Russia Again

Below is the announcement - in the Russian language - of the visit of the Kursk-Root icon to Russia. Even though the video is in not in English, it does include highlights (beginning 1 minute 40 seconds into the video) from the 2009 procession of the Icon in the city of Kursk. The icon is one of the most important wonder-working icons in the Russian Orthodox tradition.

Around 2 million people venerated the Kursk-Root icon during its last visit to Russia in 2009, and only the return of the Tikhvin Icon in 2004 was a bigger religious event.
