CHICAGOSTYLE
Whats up brothers and sisters, I'm not exactly new to Phatmass as I've been creeping the forums for awhile. Let's this simple........ About me in a nutshell: 5th generation parishioner at St. Andrews currently attending the Archdiocese of Chicago's Scripture School.....amazing experience I want to use my street smarts and life experiences to make Catholicism more of a force on the streets of Chicago Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air and I believe that he will bring the Church back to her roots! I believe that Catholicism and hip hop compliment each other perfectly. Hip hop culture has unlimited potential as an outlet for our faith! We need to be proactive in protecting our Christian brothers and sisters world wide! This must be more of a focus for western Christians! Cubs, Bears, Hawks, Bulls, Fighting Irish All time favorites- Cub Mark Grace, Bears Dick Butkus and Walter Payton, Bulls His Airness, Hawks Denis Savard, Irish Tommy Zbikowski I'm a lover of all music, really, I'm talking from Bocelli to Led Zeppelin to Notorious B.I.G. Favorite M.C's- RZA, Nas, Raekwon, Biggie (over tupac all day), Aesop Rock, Manchild, Slug, Guru, Common....the list goes on but you get my flavor I really want to discover more Catholic hip hop so please enlighten me Favorite Hip hop groups- Wu-Tang, Gangstarr I love hip hop with a message but I despise the garbage that's on the radio these days....It's simply not hip hop. Any questions? Peace, love, respect and God bless! Edited September 23, 2013 by CHICAGOSTYLE

CHICAGOSTYLE
What do you mean by this? Isn't it obvious? When I look at his actions over the past six months I see a man that has exemplified what the Catholic Church is all about. By asking for a "poor Church", a Church in which the hierarchy is more accessible to the people, he is bringing us back to our core foundation which is of course Jesus Christ. When he was recently asked "who is Jorge Mario Bergolio?" he humbly replied "a sinner".... In fact, I should have made that the first line in my hasty introduction. First and foremost, I am a sinner. Irish Tommy Zbikowski ... Does not compute.. haha well no, that certainly does not compute but if you put it in the context of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football it does. Tommy Zbikowski was a local kid that played for Notre Dame and had a pretty successful boxing career...the dude was a beast.

CHICAGOSTYLE
Is Chicago style the best style of pizza or is it the best style of pizza? Well, most people don't realize that there are two types of Chicago style pizza, deep dish and thin crust. Deep dish is more of a special occasion while our style of thin crust is what we eat on a regular basis. hi, and welcome to phatmass. certain members you will need to take their posts with a grain of salt. ;) Yeah, I kinda figured that but lets face it, characters keep things interesting! Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to Phatmass! :) Some phatmass users are goofy. You'll learn in time which ones. And we just had a thread about that interview with Pope Francis...you'll find that there's a diversity of opinion about all the different things he's been doing. Makes for discussion! I've certainly seen the difference in opinion both on here and within my own circles. The fact that it does make for a good discussion is wonderful as it's vital to our growth to have such dialogue.
