CrossCuT
Cop carry guns as a statement. Seeing a cop carry an exposed gun doesnt have the same impact as a general citizen carrying an exposed gun. Cops in uniform are on duty and their job is to maintain order and protect civilians. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Again,Probably just leave your guns at home in case a dictator comes along and rises to the hot seat in the white house or an invading foreign army is on the way. :) or you live in south central L.A. Which i'm pretty sure wouldn't be like those hollywood end of the world flicks, most people would have a chance to get home and get there guns, or perhaps raid the nearest store and grab some gatts and ammo. :) I don't see how the police have done anything wrong, they should have checked if the guns where loaded also, i here thats illegal in the u.s. you can have the gun in public but the bullets must be seperate, have i been lied to about this, i thought i saw it on a documentary. And the two main ingrediants for the rest of the world when it came to tyrant bully dictators was molitoff cocktails and rocks, and numbers. The survival of a citizen is a mere side-effect.

I know coming from from me that has got to hurt, but homeland security just "Lost" multi billions of rounds. Once Obama gets the civil war he wants america will be a burning, bleeding, dying hole in the earth. No one will will this fight. We just have to hope the Catholicism makes it underground and lives. At the retreat last weekend someone said "Can you imagine life in 20 years with flying cars and stuff" Watching movies in 5D?! I loled and said, "The future is gonna be more like a mix of Red Dawn (2012), The Book of Eli and The Hunger Games." And she looked and me funny. I have no illusions I will not make it far into this apocalypse Obama is brewing, but I want to check out a Catholic hero and in a state of grace obvi. Obama does not want to start a civil war. I am not the guys fan and I pretty much disagree with everything he stands for but to say he wants to start an actual civil war is Ludacris. Does he want to push his agenda? Yes, but so does every politician. Does he wish conservatives would just go away? Yes, butt conservatives feel the same way of liberals. Although to say he wants to wage a civil war killing millions of people just makes you look like your having a childish rant that can not be taken seriously. Next time stay away from the over the top doom and gloom ridiculousness. It won't make you sound crazy.

Jesus_lol
That is why i would prefer to conceal carry if i could. Would like open to be legal, but as a meaning of protesting it seems a bit weird. That said, protests are by design often "shocking" to people, and may disrupt their daily life. I could as easily say to the pro life protesters to stop "open" protesting and to just "conceal" their opinions and get on with daily life. I dont protest things like that, nor would i want to or feel comfortable doing so, but i dont have a problem with it being legal and others doing it. CrossCuT
I'm glad you abandoned the myth that police exist to protect citizens. Eh its all kinda implied in a way. The laws are there to protect people and the police are there to enforce laws.

When someone crosses against a light when there's no traffic, they're totally protected by someone extorting money from them. Much of modern policing is rent-seeking. CrossCuT
Well, people can choose to cross the road if they want to. If they get hit then I guess its their fault. I find a hard time comparing that to a gun for a few reasons as far as enforcing laws goes, so I dont think your example applies. It isnt reasonable to have an officer at every light because its pretty common sense. People cant choose if someone pulls a gun out and shoots them so its nice to have an officer around to make sure the situation is safe.
Nihil Obstat
I think open carry demonstrations are worthwhile as a tool to bring awareness to gun rights and whatnot. But in terms of making a habit of open carrying, I think it is a bit ill-advised. I definitely believe in the right to carry firearms. I just think a responsible gun owner who chooses to carry should do so concealed. Basically, I agree with J_Lo.
