I was thinking about how if we believe everyone has a log in there eye how none of us then can accept humble rebuke, and scripture says we must accept humble rebuke. And how the holy scripture says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God but doesnt say all are sinners, and how Our lord multiple times after healing someone said go sin no more and at the start of John when jesus heals the man he says "go sin no more or something worse may happen." He doesn't say it will deffinately get worse. And how st paul says "run the race for victory." i think this is a race to get away from sin , sin being the devil. And i think about how people say "well the closer you are to God then how much more the devil hates you and attacks you" how the hell can satan touch me if i'm close to God? Not saying i'm close to God it's just the concept, if you have a line and on one side is the devil and the other side is God, obviously the closer you are to the God side, the further away from the devil you are. And on the whole not sinning, i feel like i'm in a version of christianity that doubts this is possible and has excepted they may never not be a sinner,which is contrary to the good news, do we doubt the power of God to save? I'm thinking about ditching music and the computer and becoming a hermit for however long once i get my next government apartment :) And focusing soley on my relationship with Jesus for a while. I wish everyone had such an opportunity at least once in there life. Like i said i'm just thinking about it, unsure if i'm suited to do such a thing but if the Lord reveals to me that i'm able to do this i must take the opportunity. Just me and the holy scriptures, the holy sacraments, prayer,meditation and evangelizing. I probably wouldn't be full hermit like in a cave, i would have to go out and buy food and clothes, i will probably allow a certain few to visit me and continue to evangelize, just not on the computer. I was just thinking it may be like a time machine and when i come out of the hermitage the whole world will be different. LOL. I have been a prodigal son, i have been a black sheep, and i feel now it's time for me to try my very best to allow Jesus to make me holy. We all deny the resurrection in our lives at one time or another. What matters is that we cultivate a disposition towards holiness and away from sin. Doesn't mean we will be perfect at everything though,some are prophets,some are teaches,some evangelists etc etc. But jesus did tell the man in the gospels at the stream of bethsaida i think it was called, he talled the man whom never could get to the stream because he was to sick and everyone else beat him there, after jesus cured him he said "Go sin no more, or something worse may happen." Surely we must believe that Jesus can remove all sin from our lives, some are more open and heal quicker then others, but we all must believe Jesus can do this. Surely? But anyhow i also wanted to add about my initial post on this thread that i believe i'm correct but i also think the delivery may be wrong, this is why i must go on a journey to find the right words of lie. I am hoping to become a hermit for a while some time in the near future. Well hopefully in the near future depending on the housing list for government housing. But again i say, Jesus can make us sin free, not a simple object whether man made or natural (the tree in the garden of eden for example,) but God alone can make a person like God/sin free/holy, although of course we can never be God for God has never sinned where as we have,that's the difference. Okay i get it i see my typo now, that is meant to say 'the words of life', not "the words of lie." I get so excited about delivering what i hope to be good news and i make a mess of my typing. Sorry, i must learn to proof read before hitting enter, which i guess is a lesson in prudence. Which i think i have said before and started proof reading then got over excited again. So i just had a couple of croissants and went and did a wee and was thinking well what of the churches minimum requirement of confession once a year, and what of the confeitor, surely the pope must adhere to these rules or is he exempt from confession once a year, but he still omits the confeitor i guess, although then it isn't a compulsory part of the holy mass, perhaps he never omits it? I don't know. But anyhow my thoughts where perhaps we will never be 100% free of venial sins, which are confessed in the confeitor. And i guess if your going to confession once a year you can confess those in that also, especially if the confeitor is never omited at your parish, or you live out in the sticks and only come to town for the week before easter.
