AugustineA
My step father in law has ALS. I think they call it Lou Gehrig's disease in the US. It's so painful. The last time I saw him, he was tall and strong, bugging me to give my jacket to a girl cause it was cold. He's such a stand up gentleman. He's actually from Texas, and his name is Timothy. He just came to visit because we don't think he has much time left, and he wanted to see the mountains in Banff. He's losing everything. All his muscle is atrophying, and he can barely pick up his own food. I can't express how devastating this is. The man is so full of grace, never complains. He believes God would only give this to him if he could handle it, and he is still smiling and positive. I don't know. Words cannot describe it. I barely held it together to make it home today. I can't believe it. How can we be killing each other and buying expensive cars and crap when people are dying and suffering. Pray for Tim, and his wife, and daughter. Please also pray for me. I suspect I'll see more of this going into my line of work. Thank you, God Bless.
