Funsense With Nunsense - Or The Lost Sense Of Humor

I laugh at pretty much anything and everywhere I'm at, no matter how inappropriate it is at the time that I laugh. I laugh so easily and so hard that if I'm at a solemn occasion (Like, let's say, serving Mass), and I think about the fact that it will look bad if I start laughing hysterically (Which I always think about), I start laughing hysterically, no matter how hard I try, and then I start laughing even harder because I'm laughing. It's pretty awesome.

Oh dear... I hope you haven't done that while serving Mass....

Which reminds me: A couple years ago I was at the Easter Vigil Mass at a Benedictine monastery near home. At the end one of the monks said: "The abbot would like to invite everyone to brunch." Since it was maybe midnight or 1 AM, this caused my brothers friend to whisper: "He said 'brunch'!" I heard it, and (having already been amused) was unable to withhold laughter. So I suppressed it and sounded like I was in distress instead.... And I think everyone heard me.

One year on Christmas Eve Mass, I thought we were going to be kicked out. Basically, the Priest there is incredibly obnoxious and loud when he speaks, and the church is incredibly plain and ugly. At the end of Mass, our "parish life coordinator" (A generous title for "Woman Who Bosses People Around") walked up in front and started thanking Father for "His wonderful job leading our parish with his zeal and exuberance." We almost lost it, but we held ourselves together... that is, until she finished it off with saying "I would also like to thank our decorating committee for doing a WONDERFUL job. Our parish is beautiful in its simplicity." That's when we started laughing REALLY loudly, and even was staring at us, which made us laugh even harder. It was pretty awesome.

Thanks FP and Christina but I had to give the props to EmilyAnn - those cartoons were outrageous. I loved the one about calling Social Services.

'Quite frankly, Sophie, if you don't I will.'

 :lol2: :lol3: :lol4:

But the password one was just too true - a painful kind of funny. :)
