Thy Geekdom Come
"There is just sensory overload. Kids are going to say enough already," said Buzz's 24-year-old chief executive, Tina Wells. "The next big trend I see is kids are going to look like monks."
Hehe...that's one fad I would get into! I'm so sick of seeing so much darn skin! Argh! Even at the beach...bikinis reveal enough, but then people start wearing thongs and bras that cover as little as possible...I can't stand it, and I'm a teenage male! VeraMaria
I cant stand it either. awesome to see more people feel this way :cheer: :cheer:
voiciblanche
I'm glad someone's pushing for modesty, but I don't like the way the media was like, "Oh great, a new trend!" and making it the "modest sexy." No one should be trying to be sexy, modest or not.
Pyrite
WHOOO!!! At my university, 98% of the women walk around in about 0.5% of cloth for their entire body. It's disgusting. I don't want/need to see that. (Unrelated, I would love if more modest clothes for women would spill over into the Saggy Pant revolution of men. I really don't want to see your boxers/tightie whities. You're not impressing me. In fact, you're just scaring me.)

Thy Geekdom Come
Pyrite is correct, the saggy pants are just kind of gross. Actually, if I was a father, I would forbid my daughter to date someone dressed like that. It's just disrespectful. I wear khaki style pants or shorts with polo shirts or oxford shirts (short or long sleeve) and casual dress shoes or nice sandals.
ilovechrist
saggy pants-ick. not comfy. my pants are a lil loose (tight is nasty), and very comfy. keep a belt on, and i'm ready to roll. i love the article.
Pyrite
In my Calculus class last semester, some kid sat in front of me and I could ALWAYS see his tightie-whities. It was really hard to miss - a big white beacon right out of the corner of my eye whenever I took notes off the board. I never had the gall to tell the guy "Hey, I don't need to see that you are prepared for accidents". I was really glad when that class ended. But the Saggy Pant Revolution is good for something - comic relief. Many a time I have seen men run across campus to their next class, gripping their pants in the front and the back sagging down. I'm sure if they hiked up the pants + wore a belt + wore correct sizes, they would find it easier to run. I think guys should take some style lessons from Raphael. CreepyCrawler
i went to those two websites listed in the article and most of the clothes, no offense, are kind of ugly. but if you shop around you can find modest clothes at a lot of stores like the gap and whatnot. unfortunately, it's harder to find modest stuff for the summer. i'm glad that girl wrote them. what a good idea. i just may do the same! azaelia, i totally agree. i think it's gross to see people's thongs. ick! Oik
I'd have to agree that labeling it as a trend is sad. It's awesome to hear that there are females (and male) out there who care about modesty. God bless you Faithful Catholics.
