Pia Jesu
Praise God...for the open-mindedness of the Hawaii Carmelites and their newest professed member! The sister's joy is reflected in the faces of her beautiful daughters. How I wish more U.S. monasteries were open to belated vocations. Thanks for posting this, Lumiere! Gabriela
Did anyone else notice how bright and clean that monastery looks? Look at the light in all those photos...
Pia Jesu
Yes, the monastery looks light & joy-filled! Interestingly, the Hialeah, FL Carmel (though in temporary quarters) emits the same feeling. The file was too big to upload, so try: http://www.romancatholicvocations.blogspot.com/2007/12/gods-housewife.html and a more recent article from the Miami Archdiocese: http://www.miamiarch.org/ip.asp?op=Article_11815161030371
