Richard
I'm chucking in my full time job and going self employed! I'm fed up of wasting away in an office for 8 hours a day so I'm going it alone. I have a contract for about a year for some consultancy work, then after that...who knows? Either there will be more consultancy, or I'll have to fill the gap some other way! Risky, I know but exciting (and potentially lucrative!) I've been thinking of doing it for too long and it's time for action. To say I'm nervous would be an understatement, but fortune favours the brave as we say! I know that the Lord's got my back through all of this, but I could certainly use the massed prayers of Phatmass right now, too! Suppose I should've posted this in the prayers thread really God bless Richard

thicke
You're in my prayers. Maybe if your successful, it'll give me the courage to do the same thing. I hope so.
Richard
Thicke, I know it’s going to be successful! Hard work, and the Lord’s blessing will see to that (all of your prayers are a big help, too). If your considering something similar, my advice would be – do it! Too many people get to the end of their days wondering what might have been. Take the bull by the horns and be al you can be! God bless

IcePrincessKRS
Good luck in your efforts! We'll be praying for you! My husband is a contract worker (technically "self-employed" by certain standards) and does tech support for webhosting companies. If we can pull it off I know you can. Ash Wednesday
That sounds great. I hope someday I can go the same route and be self-employed as a freelance artist.
