Victims Of 9/11

It's hard to believe 9/11 was 12 years ago.  It seems like just yesterday I was watching the TV screen when the 2nd plane hit the WTC.  So many lives lost, including many of the first responders.  I just remember feeling anxiety all day long and my mom and dad were home.  We picked up my sister early from school even though her school didn't close (not in NYC or anywhere near the attacks) and we stayed together all day long.  I was supposed to work but called in.  Bosses understood.  It was unreal.

 

Anyway, please pray for all those who lost their lives in the attacks and the families they left behind.  It's always an emotional day for me because I remember it so vividly - even though I did not know anyone.  I cannot imagine how difficult and painful it was for the loved ones to suddenly perish in a tragic, terrifying way.  May God have mercy on their souls and, if anyone is still trapped in purgatory, may God see fit to release them so they can enjoy heaven forever.  Amen.  :nun1:
