PP does not offer mammograms. 

 

They only do screenings and referrals.

Honestly, you're one of the few people who could tell me that story and I wouldn't assume that they were lying. I would say that that behavior would not be acceptable and the employee should have been fired. I think that if you relayed that to somebody who actually worked for PP they would say the same thing.

When you are first on disability, you don't get health care for two years. Don't know why, but that's the rule. Having a mom, aunt, and both great aunts who had breast cancer, I'm down to have yearly mammograms. I complained up the chain of command at PP, and was asked who told me they offer mammograms, why can't I pay for it myself, and why should they pay for stuff. I was told point blank " we are not in the charity business." This was 1993. Maybe they've changed.
