I try to go to daily mass........ um well, daily. I have recieved much grace through this practice. When I don't go, my day feels......... incomplete. Most generally, it is shorter.......lots of people got to get to work, etc.

We have daily Mass (T/Th at 7:15am, Wed at 5:30pm, Fri at 7:00am). The evening Wed. Mass has more people, and is done in the sanctuary, but the morning Masses are done in the "Mary room" which is a side room that is smaller and has an alter. It generally lasts about 25 minutes with about 10 people tops. Our priest always gives a brief homily. And I'm not sure if it's been mentioned (didn't read all the posts), but there is no Confession of Faith (creed) at daily Mass.

Thanks so much to all the people who responded! It's great to hear all the different perspectives on daily mass, and if anyone hasn't been able to respond yet, feel free to do so.

dUSt: Magnificat is a great idea! And I can definitely relate to the coffee metaphor.

Ellenita: Thanks for the encouragement about responses! I started to feel less like I was sticking out, sore-thumb style (of course, when you're in a large, full church, that helps) at the second mass we attended. It DEFINITELY helps to have a reading to follow along with.

hsmom: I LOVE the idea of incorporating Friday mass into homeschool! Cool.

Thanks, Pham. :)
