See most everybody has said JP II, lets go with him!

no, not "most everybody" has done so. nothing against Bl. John Paul II.

if this is something that is to be decided by votes, maybe we should have an actual poll to determine results...?

Maybe we need one for the entire Phatmass--I really like soon-to-be St. John Paul II, and St. Francis....

BUT MAYBE we also need one for each of the sub-areas.   Maybe we could even have an AVATAR for our Saints in the appropriate phorums?

That's a terrific idea! At least, in my opinion. Especially since there have been so many good suggestions for patron saints already, it would be a shame to only have one.

I prefer licking my fingertip and feeling which way the wind blows.

So, tacos, the inordinate Texas origins, kitsch merchandise. The patron should be a Mexican, or at least a Spaniard.

How about a missionary saint?

St. Paul

St. Francis Xavier

St. Damien of Molokai

St. Therese (No I'm not being biased on this one. She really is a patron saint of missionaries despite being a cloistered nun.)

Or how about St. Maximilian Kolbe since he established and distributed the Militia of the Immaculata in mass media?
