beatitude
The Carmelite nuns of Glasgow are having a come and see on 20-22 September. (Interested women must contact them before September 2nd.) They have a beautiful description of how they see their life on the website: Carmelite sisters often have no way of judging the effects of their life on others, but we trust that our life is bearing fruit for the Church and the world. We are not exempt from the ups and downs of the human journey; always in need of conversion and living in the darkness of faith. Yet as each one of us enters into her own heart in search of God we believe that in that searching we bring with us the whole of humanity in its quest for the fullness of life promised us by Christ. Our desire is that our monastery can be a place of peace, prayer and healing.
