ithinkjesusiscool
Pax! Why does sometimes refuse to answer the prayers if those who are about to commit suicide?
CatherineM
People who commit suicide often have lost hope to the point that God's answer isn't recognized. The person who is despondent about finances might pray to win the lottery, and be so consumed by it, that they miss the help wanted sign hanging in the 7-11 window as they go in to spend their last dollar on a ticket. A person who suffers from severe depression might be too sick to make a doctor's appointment where they will be prescribed the new medicine that will ease their suffering. A person suicidal due to the end of a relationship, might not want the answer to their prayers to be someone new. They may choose to hang onto the dead relationship until it squeezes the life out of them. God answers all our prayers. Sometimes he says no like any good parent. Sometimes he says yes, and we don't like the "but" that comes after the "yes." Suicide is a permanent end to a temporary problem.
