Missing A Day Of A Novena—what Do You Do?

I usually double up the next day, but try to do it at different times, like one in the morning and then again in the evening. I rarely remember to do all the days of a novena, which is why I hardly ever do them. If you're not aiming to end on a specific day, then I would just pick up where I left off and extend it. So many times novenas are leading up to a feast day though, so if you finish it several days afterward it's kind of awkward.
